Brewing method determines the taste of a coffee to a large extent. In fact, many coffee connoisseurs see the brewing process as an art by itself, and they believe that it is the ability of the individual brewer that determines the taste of the best coffee

Here is a look at some of the popular brewing methods used by people around the world.

French press

French press is a popular brewing method. French press is a device that brews coffee for you and it has been used since 1929. In this method, you should put the coarsely ground coffee powder in the empty beaker and add hot water, typically between 199 to 205 degree Fahrenheit. Ideally, add about 500 ml of water for 30 grams of coffee powder. If you add too much water, coffee taste will get diluted. Wait for two to four minutes after you pour water for the press to brew.

Remove the coffee and enjoy it. If you like a bitter and astringent flavor, just leave the coffee in the press for a few hours.

Drip coffee

Drip coffee is another popular technique used around the world.  This drip consists of a filter and a dripper which can be placed on top of a cup, carafe or anything else that you want to brew into. In this process, add coffee powder to the filter. Then, boil water and pour it over the filter. The water and coffee powder will brew together and will drip slowly into your cup. The final taste is your favorite gourmet coffee that is brewed slowly to perfection.

This method is most ideal for savoring the flavors and aroma of a single origin coffee.  Also, it tends to be light and contains more caffeine when compared to the best espresso coffee.
